Tennis Emperor - Unstoppable 'Federer Express'

Yesterday was the last day of the first Tennis Grand Slams of the year, the Australian Open 2007. And what a tournament it was.

The male singles champion is no other than the Emperor himself, Roger Federer. He won without dropping a set in the tournament, all straight set. And what a final yesterday. His opponent was Fernando Gonzalez of Chile. He's beaten a lot of tough opponents before the final, such as Tommy Haas, Rafael Nadal, James Blake, Lleyton Hewitt and the others. But still, Gonzales can't even stole a set from Federer. He was beaten with a score of 7-5, 6-4, 6-4. It was Federer's 10th Grand Slam title, and 3rd Australian Open champion.

On the female single champion is Serena Williams. He came as an unseeded player, ranked 81, and won the tournament. The final against the women who have just reclaimed the number one female tennis player, Maria Sharapova of Russia (19 years old), was just one sided. If i recall correctly, the score was 6-1, 6-2. A thrashing of the world number one. Because of this championship, Serena now is the 14th ranked of the world.

And speaking of thrashing, the complete thrashing of the tournament was none other than the semi final of the male single championship. It was the Federer vs. Andy Roddick. The score of the match was 6-4, 6-0, 6-2. And what a frustrated man Andy Roddick was. He threw his racket accidentally when he want to hit the ball, and occasionally, he shouted very loudly. I felt pity for him.

And that's wrap up this review of Australian Open. Only the French Open that Roger hasn't won. That court belongs to the youngster Rafael Nadal, where he already won 2 times consecutively. The other grand slam has already fallen to the great man, Federer (Wimbledon and US Open). Will Federer claim the only trophy he can't win for several years this year? We will find out mid-year.

long distance call

asikkk post pertama 2007 .. hay hay! apakabar semuanya, kembali lagi bersama pandu adilaras disini. oia, biar telat juga biarin, selamat tahun baru ya..

hari ini pas setengah tahun gw ga ngeliat tampang2 maksiat kalian, iya setengah tahun!
gw disini baik2 aja, alhamdulilah tetep sehat tetep imut, cuaca lagi panas2nya.. yah tapi hati tetep adem, melihat mbak2 bule seksi kepanasan, hahahaha.

kangen bgt sama lo semua, kemaren gw abis main pingpong, haduuh rasanya udah pengen teleport ke fasilkom aja, entah kapan gw bisa pulang ni.. sedih gw baca milis... pengen ikutan juga, ntar kalo jadi kirim foto2nya ya.

eh ya udah ya, gw mau berangkat jumatan dulu, token udah ilang satu nih, hehehe.. kipintach!
